Safety first
Nothing else we offer matters if a student does not feel safe walking through the gate at night.
Accredited student housing in the Mbombela CBD. Male and female students, NSFAS funded, bursary holders and cash paying students all welcome.

StayHope began with a simple observation. Students arriving in Mbombela were spending their first weeks looking for somewhere safe to live instead of settling into their courses. Good accommodation existed, but too little of it was close to campus routes, properly run, and open to students funded by NSFAS or a bursary.
Since 2021 we have run one residence in the Mbombela CBD: furnished, connected and properly managed. We take NSFAS funded students, bursary holders and cash paying students, because how a student pays should not decide whether they get a decent place to sleep.
We call it a home away from home because that is the bar we set. Not a bed in a building, but a place where a student can rest, study, cook a proper meal and know their door locks.
Nothing else we offer matters if a student does not feel safe walking through the gate at night.
Every resident is treated the same, whether their fees come from NSFAS, a bursary or their family's pocket.
Through StayHope LVL UP we invest in residents beyond the lease: academically, financially and personally.
We restore neglected inner city buildings rather than abandon them, and the whole CBD benefits.
Clear leases, clear house rules, clear costs. No surprises at the end of the year.
When a resident calls, a person picks up. That sounds small. Ask a student how rare it is.
To provide safe, accredited, well-run accommodation so students in Mbombela can focus on their studies, and to keep it within reach whatever way their fees are funded.
A Mbombela CBD where student housing is a reason the inner city works, and where every resident leaves with more than a qualification.
